About
Bill Buckley has been a driving force in the video game industry since 2005, contributing across disciplines that span animation, storytelling, and cinematic direction. Throughout his career, he has served as a Senior Animator, Story Artist, Writer, Digital Cinematographer, Concept Artist, and Animation Director.
He has played a key role in developing acclaimed titles for studios such as THQ, Disney Interactive, Limbic, SCEA, Activision (Neversoft and Infinity Ward), Starbreeze, and First Contact Entertainment. His diverse portfolio includes celebrated franchises like Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground, WWE SmackDown vs. Raw, NBA 2007, Disney’s Club Penguin, Guitar Hero (eight installments), Call of Duty: Ghosts, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, John Wick: The Impossible Task (VR), ROM Extraction, Firewall Zero Hour, Solaris Offworld Combat, and Firewall Ultra.

Bill is currently the Animation Director at Absurd Ventures, where he collaborates with some of the industry’s most talented developers to push the boundaries of interactive storytelling and next-generation animation technology.

Beyond development, Bill is deeply committed to education and mentorship. He has lectured, mentored, and taught animation and game development both in the U.S. and internationally, inspiring the next generation of artists and creators.
